Repost from @MysticMamma⁠⠀ *FULL MOON* in Libra rises on the horizon illuminating all of our relationships during this time of collective flux.⁠ Libra is the archetypal representation of sacred balance and right-relation to all things. She understands on a visceral level, that we are continually in intimate relationship with all things in our lives, whether we are consciously aware of it or not.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Her gift is her willingness to embrace seemingly opposing views and accept the spectrum that exists for each person in their experience and perspective. She teaches us that by finding the middle way, we can learn to harmonize what is out of balance, so that we can become a bridge across worlds, both horizontally in this world across perspectives, and vertically between the worlds seen and unseen.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ During these times of uncertainty, we can find our way to our own inner balance by anchoring into our center, which links us to the primordial center of Creation, to the heart of the Earth.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ This is something we can all access through a variety of modalities. Through stillness or through movement, our center is something we can consciously invoke and move within.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ It is the key and the doorway. There is no need to “ascend.”⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ It is through grounding into our very own earthly bodies, through bringing our Soul into alignment (acceptance) with our experience that we can feel our connection to our center at the heart of the Earth.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Here we can find our deeper roots, we can become like trees, as we begin to witness the ways we relate to the greater living forest we are a part of.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ All living things thrive from attention, love and acknowledgement. Plants, animal, people, even non-living things, respond to reciprocity.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Libra reminds us about the sacred balance of reciprocity, of give and take, and the equal exchange that is an essential part of the natural law that keeps all things in flow.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Native peoples across cultures have known this well, and this primal wisdom lives in our bones, it is the invisible thread that can help us restore balance within our relationships and with our Mother planet Earth.⁠⠀ ....Cont in comments

“We don’t use the body to get into the pose, we use the pose to get into the body” ~ Bernie Clark⠀ ⠀ Come join me for a yin class tonight 6pm or Thursday 9.15am⠀ ⠀ I write a lot about getting back into the body. Why? Because it is the ultimate practice of mindfulness & I believe compassion. Our body is the most obvious way we can experience ourselves (& each other) alive in this moment. It’s a gateway to connecting with a deeper sense of aliveness, and life and it is an incredibly beautiful organ of wisdom.⠀ ⠀ But we tend to spend a disproportionate amount of time caught in the looping mind rather than being present with what we actually are feeling in our bodies in the here and now.⠀ ⠀ The looping mind I’m talking about is when there is a sensation in the body and the mind moves quickly to layer a story onto it, the story creates more sensation which creates more story & before we know it we’re caught in a loop we don’t know how to get out of. The body doesn’t know the difference between something happening now vs the thoughts in the mind.⠀ ⠀ In the slowness of a yin class we create a space of retraining the mind inwards towards gentleness & presence. Trees trees trees...anyone else never get tired of green views?! So perfectly beautiful in every way 🥰 I’m pretty sure I could look at the same tree every day for my whole lifetime and feel love & contentment explode in my heart every single time 🥰 And in my tree drunk state it feels like a great idea to announce I’m practicing looking at every human in the same way....through eyes of love and appreciation. Remembering we are a part of the greater whole doesn't mean we need to save the world. It also doesn't mean it's time to fall asleep. It's just time to listen, listen deeply, listen to what is right for you in your heart, in this moment.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ If you have something to share from the heart, SHARE. If you're tired and you need to rest, REST, if you need to connect with others CONNECT, if you need to turn inwards to remember your connection to life, BE STILL. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ But how can you know what is right for this moment if you’re not even here in this moment? Can you allow yourself to dance with this moment? To dance to your own rhythm, in harmony with life? Without comparing to others? Without getting caught up in the should's. Can you allow life to unfold without pushing or controlling? Finding peace within & remembering what is truly important.⠀ ⠀ This time of home retreat is reconnecting me to people & ways I lived life when I was overseas & immersed in daily life centred around love & devotion. It’s reminding me my highest core values are Love, Devotion, Wisdom and Compassion and it’s confronting to realise when I’ve been caught in survival or doing mode how these values have slipped down the priority list.⠀ ⠀ I feel like this crisis is our call to return home, to remember what is most important. For me it’s clear it is a call to love and wisdom. ⠀ ⠀ If you’re struggling to find your centre through this time:⠀ ⠀ - Be mindful of where you allow your mind to go. ⠀ - Take time to contemplate what is most important to you.⠀ - Be gentle with emotions when they arise but you don’t need to go hunting fur them (or get lost in them) ⠀ - Keep choosing to come back to breath, to the heart, to LOVE again and again and again. ⠀ - Ask how can this experience help to awaken my heart? ⠀ - Put your hands on your heart & ask from the gentle resourced place within you, “What do you need sweetheart?”⠀ - Listen.⠀ ⠀ I also think it’s time we come to understand that if we genuinely want love & compassion to be our compass it’s challenging/borderline impossible to access these higher aspects of ourself when we’re in survival mode. And developing your inner resourcefulness for self soothing and nervous system regulation isn’t a luxury - it’s an imperative.⠀ ⠀ And. it’s ok to ask for help - we don’t need to do this alone!! My version of balance = a little bit of work + a little bit of play including an afternoon nap on the earth 🥰 I’ve been working from home for a few years so not much about my weekdays has changed - except I have a lot less weekend & evening events & classes to plan for and that is making way for more time for afternoon naps in my garden. When I was travelling often my favourite thing to do was find a tree to rest under in the afternoon. But I can’t remember the last tree nap I took...until today when I officially christened my garden with my first afternoon tree nap. And my love affair with tree naps has officially started again.
