Yin yoga is an invitation to let these tired bodies and minds rest. Slowing down to receive the breath and using deeply nourishing and nervous system resetting postures to release tension in the body, mind and heart. As we give ourselves permission to slow down we begin to feel what is really happening in each moment and learn to relax into each pose using our breath to soften and release tension. Lani will guide you on a journey through the body into the Heart as together we create a gentle space of exploration and compassion.

Using physical poses held for a little longer we give space for the body, mind and heart to release stress and tension often stored in the deeper layers of the connective tissue & mental & emotional bodies. Letting go the need to arrive anywhere we allow ourselves to unravel in our own time and way flooding our entire system with compassion, kindness, gentleness and self-acceptance.
We rest between each pose so we can become aware of what is it that we’re experiencing right now, and to observe the beautiful effects of fresh qi moving throughout us. For me yin is the embodiment of slowing down and listening from the inside out – the way yoga was always intended to be practiced.
