This is a special invitation to turn inwards and allow mind, body and heart to be nourished from the inside out.
Yin yoga + Pranayama (Breathing) + Nervous System Regulation
In the busy lives that we lead it’s easy to get stuck in doing mode and to find it challenging to slow down and feel connected and at home in your body. These, slightly longer than your average yoga class, sessions are intended to give you time to practice deep listening to the wisdom in your body and to create a safe space within yourself to unravel, unwind and deepen your connection to your own body, mind, soul and emotional wisdom.
DEEP REST | heART of Rest Treeby
DEEP REST is an invitation to let these tired bodies and minds rest while rediscovering the deepest connection to your Self.
Slowing down to receive the breath and using deeply nourishing and nervous system resetting postures to release tension in the body, mind and heart. As you give yourself permission to slow down you begin to feel what is really happening in each moment and the subtle magic of life. Lani will guide you on a journey through the body into the Heart as together we create a gentle space of exploration and compassion.
- Calms and balances the mind and body.
- Supports the regulation of the autonomic nervous system (rest, digest & social engagement).
- Reduces stress and anxiety.
- Increases circulation.
- Improves flexibility.
- Releases fascia and improves joint mobility.
- Balances the internal organs and improves the flow of chi or prana.
This is a chance to drop very deeply through the body into the Heart, to reset your frazzled nervous system and offer a safe haven for whatever it is that is moving through you right now.
No experience necessary although there will be extended periods of silence and stillness so if this is your first time attending a session with Lani please let her know so she can offer any additional support you may need. All mats and props provided for you although you may like to bring your own eye pillow.
“To be ‘well’ is not to live in a state of perpetual safety and calm, but to move fluidly from a state of adversity, risk, adventure, or excitement, back to safety and calm, and out again. Stress is not bad for you; being stuck is bad for you. Wellness happens when your body is a place of safety for you, even when your body is not necessarily in a safe place. You can be well, even during the times when you don’t feel good.”
